Dev Log #1 – Lactation Mechanics Incoming!

What does that mean?
After establishing the gestation mechanic in the first scenes — where the protagonist incubates biotech pods to solve puzzles — the next phase adds another body-integrated system: milk production as food storage.
During your escape attempt, you'll need to traverse harsh environments (like deserts, underground ruins, and alien zones). Unfortunately, biotech fruit and gooey alien snacks don’t last long… unless converted into something more stable.
That’s where our girl’s modified physiology comes in.
How it works (in-game):
-
Consume organic material → energy is converted into nutrient-rich milk.
-
Store it internally.
-
Use it as portable food between zones or to feed certain alien lifeforms/organic machines.
-
May also be used in puzzle-solving… or stranger interactions later on.
And of course, your onboard AI will have plenty to say about all of this. (Mostly sarcastic. Occasionally concerned.)
Why this?
Because it fits perfectly with the themes of the game:
body-mod survival, grotesque biotech, and weird-but-logical mechanics.
And, let’s be honest, it’s a unique way to handle inventory and stamina without breaking immersion.
Stay tuned — next release will feature this mechanic in action. As always, your feedback keeps this fleshy ship flying!
Thanks for the support!

Looks promising. Best of luck with this project!
If you don't mind a little bit of feedback, it would be nice if the sprite for her bigger breasts was 'fuller' breasts and not just 'longer'.
Yes, you're right — but for now they’re mostly placeholders, just to test whether the menus, in-game scenes, and animations behave consistently with the new changes (there are still some bugs in certain parts).
Will she be able to get pregnant with actual alien babies in future builds?
Yup! In Act 1, you’ll encounter a humanoid native species (though not immediately - you’ll need to find their village first).
To progress the story, you’ll have to create and control a native alien using your new “power.”
There’s also a breast-based "flora pregnancy" involved in Act 1.
The canyon is Act 0, and it’s designed to introduce the core mechanics and the strange world you’ve crash-landed into.
That’s great,it will be better if a breastfeeding mechanic is involved.
Yeah, it's needed to quickly grow certain types of your "children" (a controlled baby alien isn't as useful as a fully grown one).
There will also be different types of milk used to progress or solve specific puzzles.
But like I said, these are planned for future acts - that’s why I need to develop the foundation of the lactation system now, so I don’t end up rewriting too much code later.
